The URG-04LX scanning laser rangefinder is the original model Hokuyo introduced to the market as the most compact, lightest weight device for robotic applications. This model includes both RS232 and USB interfaces for communication and can obtain measurement data up to a distance of 4 meters with millimeter resolution. Due to its low power consumption, this scanner is able to be used on battery-operated platforms.
