HOKUYO UXM-30LAH-EWA

The UXM-30LAH-EWA scanning laser rangefinder is an industrial-grade outdoor-rated sensor used for non-contact distance measurement, obstacle detection and area monitoring applications. Using an Ethernet interface for communication and programming the output zones, this model offers real-time detection in a 190º field of view up to a distance of 80 meters. The sensor is equipped with a built-in heater for making internal adjustments once temperatures drop below 32ºF. It also can be configured with an ON/OFF delay where it will ignore objects that move abruptly through the zones (for example in outdoor use: leaves blowing, heavy dust or debris) thus preventing a false output. Sensitivity adjustments can be made via the software to create a close-range dead zone that helps filter out rain, sea mist, snow, fog or other elements that are in close proximity to the lens.
